BARN DRAPING IN ELK GROVE
We received a call from the mother-of-the-bride who needed help to help turn a family friend’s barn into a beautiful wedding reception. They thought they could do it themselves but once they started realizing the magnitude of this project, they called us. Originally, they wanted the entire barn draped but once we did a site visit, we soon realized there were obstacles that prevented that.
This barn had great bones, with a built-in bar, small stage, and bistro lights already hung and a loft. The walls slanted down on each side to barely standing height. The barn owner did not want any of the bistro lights or lighted beer signs removed. The challenge was to create a design that would enhance the barn and yet work around the lights and add softness and romance to the space.
We incorporated over 400 yards of fabric, 20 ivory draping panels, 12’L LED string lights behind the sweetheart table, large and medium size lanterns, and an 8- arm chandelier. The reaction from the family as they saw the final transformation is what makes our job worth all the hard work in planning and designing.
